Install PowerPoint Viewer

Intro:

This tutorial will teach you how to download and install the PowerPoint Viewer. This download is for users who don't have Microsoft PowerPoint® it allows them to view PowerPoint 95, 97, 2000, and 2002 presentations. The PowerPoint Viewer allows people who use PowerPoint to share their presentations with people who do not have PowerPoint installed on their computers. When you post presentations on the Internet, you can include the PowerPoint Viewer to expand your online audience to people who might not have PowerPoint, or to those with different versions. You can use this viewer to view files created in both PowerPoint for Windows® and PowerPoint for the Macintosh.

To Begin:

  1. Download the file by clicking here. and saving the "ppviewer.exe" file to your Desktop


  2. Double-click the ppviewer.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.


  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.


  4. You're Finished!


    Instructions for use:


  5. If you are creating a presentation, install this viewer and use Microsoft PowerPoint as you normally would.


  6. If you want to open a presentation but do not have PowerPoint, double-click the presentation file. The presentation will start.


  7. Removal of this download:

  8. To remove the download file itself, delete the file ppviewer.exe.


  9. On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.


  10. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.


  11. In the list of currently installed programs, select Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003 and then click Remove or Add/Remove. If a dialog box appears, follow the instructions to remove the program.


  12. Click Yes or OK to confirm that you want to remove the program.
