Installing Internet Explorer 7

Intro:

This tutorial will walk a Windows Computer user in installing Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7. This is the primary Web Browser used for the Christa McAuliffe's learning interface.

The Tutorial:


To Begin:

  1. To upgrade to the most current version, go to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx ...and click on the download button on the right-hand side of the page



  2. Once it has taken you to the new page, scroll to the bottom of the page, and look to the left for the download button, and click it.



  3. Once you do, it will bring you to yet another page. This will tell you about some systems data and quick settings. Simply click continue then download as this data is standard and rather unimportant.


  4. Once this window pops up, click run and wait for the installer to finish



  5. When you get to the installer window, it will ask you to agree to its terms, verify your copy of windows, and then install the latest updates. Make sure that check box is checked!!



  6. The download will now begin. The process may take several minutes to complete.



  7. Once completed, it will prompt you to restart your computer immediately which is recommended.


    8. Once rebooted, your browser will be ready for use!
