• Mac OS X 10.1 or above (10.4 "Tiger" or 10.5 "Leopard" Recommended)

• Firefox 1.1 or higher (Firefox 2.0 Recommended for all except Plato® Content)
• Wine Windows Emulator required for Plato Learning® Content
• 16-bit audio adapter
• Screen resolution set to 1024 x 768 or higher

Special Notes:

If using a dial-up connection you must have an actual connection to the Internet. Content providers such as AOL, Juno, etc. may be difficult to get to work, but they do work. Generally, proxies which only proxy web pages do not interfere with the system.

If you are using a dedicated Internet connection, you should not experience any problems. Everything will work behind Network Area Translation (NAT). However, if you plan on using the tutoring service the NAT must be H.323 compliant due to Microsoft NetMeeting being used as the base of that system. If you have a firewall in place certain ports will need to be opened by the Network Administrator. This information will be supplied upon request. Some portions of the program are only available to high-bandwidth connections (128kbps or faster); please make us aware if you fit into this category so that we may enhance your experience with Christa McAuliffe Academy.
